Play K Open House: Mon, Aug 21 at 10 AM

Is your child getting ready to head to Kindergarten this fall? Join us for a special Play K open house on Monday, August 21 from 10 AM to 12 PM. This drop in program will feature books and activities that help prepare your child for learning in a classroom setting. Not headed to Kindergarten just yet? These activities are also appropriate for younger preschoolers as well.

PrintGreat Building Challenge (All ages): Monday, July 24, 2-4 PM

Come build your best creation with Legos and enter it into our Great Building Challenge.  Prizes will be awarded in four age brackets: PreK (Ages 3-6), Young Children (Ages 7-9), Older Children (Ages 10-12), and Teen/Adult (Ages 13 & up).  Winners will be announced at our end of summer picnic on Saturday, August 12.

Build it Big, Bigger, Biggest (PreK-K):

Tuesday, Aug 8 at 10 AM OR Wednesday, August 9at 7 PM

Learn when size differences really matter and have some fun looking at the large and small of things.

Leap into Science Family Workshop (All ages): Wednesday, August 9 at 2 PM

Explore the science of water with books and hands-on activities.

 

Lunch Bunch (All ages): Friday, August 11 at 11:30 AM

Join us at the Telford Park Pavilion for stories and songs with family and friends.  Bring a lunch and a blanket to sit on.

Wrap Up Picnic (All ages): Saturday, August 12, 11 AM-1 PM

Celebrate the end of summer with great food and picnic fun.  We will provide hot dogs, chips, lemonade and popsicles.  Make a craft, build with Magna-Tiles, and even get your face painted (12-1 PM only).  No registration required.  Just join in front of the

Spot your favorite construction tools on your BINGO card to win books or other small prizes.  No hard hats needed but come in your work clothes.

How to Build a Storm (All ages): Wednesday, July 12 at 2 PM

Explore the science of weather with the Franklin Institute.  Learn the makings of a storm, the secrets behind thunder and lightning, and watch weather come alive.

Build a Better World for Animals with Aark (All ages): Thursday, July 13 at 7 PM

Learn how Aark Animal Rescue protects wildlife in our own backyard.

Read-a-thon: Saturday, July 15, 10 AM to 5 PM

Help us raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand by reading.  Pick up a sponsor sheet at the library or print one here.  Ask friends and family to sponsor your reading.  Then, stop by the library to read and enjoy some snacks.  All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a free copy of the book, Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand.
